About the Job
- Functional Safety Duties
- Creation and implementation of reliable and functionally safe systems meeting ISO26262 standards.
- Own functional safety traceability of requirements for related projects.
- Perform safety management activities according to relevant standards during all project phases (concept, product development, production) including preliminary hazard & risk analysis, safety plan, qualitative and quantitative fault tree analysis (DFMEA, FMEDA, FTA..).
- Develop safety plans to ensure compliance with ISO26262.
- Lead and coordinate the creation of functional safety documentation according to ISO26262.
- Work closely with engineers across design, validation, and implementation to meet all functional safety requirement goals based on customer requirements.
- Work closely with product marketing and project management ensuring that partner deliverables are timely and comprehensive.
- Collaborate with project managers, development team, and customers on Functional Safety Assessment reviews.
- Cascade safety requirements to the systems, subsystems, and component levels in the product portfolio.
- Conduct reviews with product teams to ensure functional safety standards are being met throughout the product development cycle & ensure integration.
Quality Duties:
- Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Project’s Quality Management System and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements.
- Ensuring the quality standards are achieved and promoting performance improvement throughout the project.
- Define quality procedures in conjunction with the project team.
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
- Perform a regular Quality Management review.
- Ensure that all tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated. All product modifications should be investigated as necessary.
- Manage & follow-up on project changes to achieve project outputs
- Gather relevant data in order to monitor performance and produce statistical reports about projects performance.
- Provide proactive communications and weekly/monthly/quarterly project management reports to client and internal stakeholders if required.
- Investigate deviations and complaints, determine the root causes for non-conformity, issuing an investigation report contain the required corrective/preventive actions and ensuring that corrective/preventive actions are implemented
- Leads the initiation and follow-up of corrective action requests and preventive measures to achieve quality targets.
- Support the development of quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines and control plans to assure quality standards are met.
Job Requirements
- Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in related field (ex: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering).
- Years of experience in the same field: 5+ Years of experience preferably in automotive electronic product development
- Knowledge and proven experience with ISO 26262.
- Familiar with automotive quality management and product development processes
- Experience in creating safety concepts and technical safety requirements
Skills required:
- Good risk management skills.
- Strong decision-maker when subjected to limited information.
- Familiar with Hardware and/or Software design and verification techniques.
- Awareness with ISO-9001 Quality Management Standard
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Familiar with automotive development and quality process (FMEA/FTA methods/tools)
- Scripting abilities, e.g. with Perl, Python, etc.
